Elementary Model Questionnaire (EMQ)At the heart of our 5-D Organizational Scans lies the Elementary Model Questionnaire (EMQ). The EMQ is designed to quantify organisation behaviour, based on principles of the Elementary Model of Organisational Processes (EMOP), combined with the Theory of Thought to Behaviour (TtB). The EMQ allows collection of data from organisation members about (their attitudes towards) main organisational aspects. This data is collected at three different organisational levels:
On average, filling in the entire questionnaire takes about 5 minutes. The basic EMQ can be extended, depending on specific information need or requirements of the pertaining organisation. The basic EMQ can yield absolute, relative and more detailed results. Absolute findings: This provides information on how organisation members, at different organisation levels, value main organisational aspects, such as Leadership, Trust and Circumstance. Relative findings: This is correlation data, relative to the main organisational aspects, for instance giving information about the extent to which organisation members' Emotions & Mood correlates with Leadership. Detailed findings: When examining collected data for details, the EMQ items are not merely regarded as part of EMOP elements, but also as separate items which may provide additional information about (the functioning of) the organisation and about the respondents. Clients may opt to receive only the absolute results, to additionally receive relative results or also the detailed results. The EMQ is an Internet application, as a result of which respondents can participate at their convenience, at any time and at any place where they have Internet access. If you would like your organisation to utilise the EMQ, please contact me. |
